Sunbeds require a special type of Acrylic also known as 'Sunbed Perspex', a type which allows UV light to pass through to allow the user to get a suntan from the tubes. This is different to standard Acrylic / Perspex which blocks around 50% UV light and crazes (stress crack) when subjected to the amount of UV light Sunbeds produce.
